Project: Pulp & Paper Mill Modifications
Location: Wallula, Washington
On an "open end" cost plus contact with Construction Manager Daniel Construction Company, Carney scheduled manpower and equipment, coordinated tools and materials for Boise
Cascade's semi-annual shutdown preparation to upgrade and renovate their pulp and paper mill.
Work included the arranging of standby craftsmen to assure completion of the hog fuel scrubber renovation; liquor generation and storage systems; remove and install new de-aerator
and feed water system for primary boilers; remove and repair/replace electrical and pneumatic instrumentation; install equipment to increase wastewater purification capacity; rework clarifiers; Meger electrical
motors; install new feeder pumps; and other miscellaneous related work, as directed by plant engineering.
To man this job within a few hours notice from the CM/Owner typifies Carney's ability to expediently staff and mobilize a project.
